A woman working at a Mount Pleasant nursing home has been arrested after diverting drugs from nursing home residents. Forty-seven year old Barbara Tindall of Keosauqua was charged with two counts of acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, deception, and subterfuge, as well as three counts of false statements relating to health care matters.
Tindall allegedly stole Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from residents for herself while she was working at the Keosauqua Health Care Center and Savannah Heights in Mount Pleasant. This investigation by the Iowa Medicaid Fraud Control Unit lead to a total of six controlled substance arrests of nursing home staff members across the state.
