Snow fell across the KCII listening area and all of Iowa Thursday. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the storm. The Iowa Department of Transportation plows were out ahead of the storm applying liquid and solid materials, and then cleaning the highways. So far this year Washington has received about twice the normal 21 inches of snowfall for the season. Temperatures are expected to rise to the upper 40s Saturday with rain showers.
