A tire detached from a moving pickup truck in Henry County, causing significant damage to a passing vehicle. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, around 11:50 a.m. Wednesday the rear driver’s side wheel came off of a truck being driven by Ronald Tatro of Manchester as he was driving southbound on Highway 218. The disengaged wheel crossed the median and struck a northbound semi truck being driven by Ciprian Trascu of Hollywood, Florida. Damage to the semi was estimated at $7,000 and there was an estimated $500 worth of damage to the pickup. There were no injuries.
