Iowa Mennonite School senior Suzanna Yoder was named Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division Co-Player of the Year for her play in the recently completed season.
Yoder led class 1A, scoring 27.5 points per game, a full five points more than any other player in the Superconference. Her 97 assists were best on the team and 10th in class 1A. Her 70 steals were sixth in the Superconference. She also pulled down 124 rebounds during the year. She spoke this week with KCII sports about what the honor means to her. “It’s a really big deal. Ever since Eli Gingerich won it my eighth grade and freshman year, it was something I really wanted to get. It’s probably one of the most important goals that I have set for myself.”
Yoder shared the honor with senior Maya Johnson of Mediapolis.
