The Keota boys’ basketball team ended their season with a winning record for the 12th year in a row.  Much of this year’s success came on the back of junior JD Stout.

Stout was an offensive powerhouse across the board this season.  He finished top-ten in the state across all classes in scoring, including easily leading the South Iowa Cedar League.  His 79 percent from the free throw line was tops in the SICL as well, and his 53.6 percent from the field was third in the conference among players with 150 or more attempts.  On top of all that, he tied for the conference lead in made threes with 76.

Stout was just a junior this season.  Despite that, he joined Keota’s thousand-point club, and is on pace to end his career with a very high spot on Keota’s all-time scoring list.  Look for him to be right back in the fold a season from now.
