Mid-Prairie senior basketball player Kessa Jones was recognized by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association as a member of the Academic All-State Team. 

In the classroom, Jones joins a group of all-state athletes with a composite ACT score of 29.8, 4.0 GPA and 13 individuals who are ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in their class. On the court, Jones averaged four points per game, dished out 53 assists, sixth most in the River Valley Conference, had 45 steals, ninth in the RVC, and pulled in 98 rebounds.
