After losing the majority of their production a season ago, the Sigourney girls’ basketball team defied expectations this year, partly due to the leadership and production of junior Megan Stuhr. As a result of her season, she was named to the Class 1A southeast all-district team.
Stuhr led the team in most major statistics, including scoring, made field goals, made threes, free throw percentage, and blocked shots. On top of that, her 103 steals were the third-most of anyone in the southeast portion of the state across all classes.
This is Stuhr’s first all-district selection. With the vast majority of this year’s squad being juniors or younger, Stuhr should be in a great position to get right back there a season from now.
