Jazz will fill the auditorium at the Washington High School Thursday. The instrumental music all school jazz concert will begin at 7 p.m. Recently the Washington High School jazz band performed at the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association, or SEIBA, Jazz Festival in Iowa City, as did the Washington Middle School jazz band. The middle school’s trombonist Claire Wubbena was named the Overall Outstanding Soloist. The high school band is directed by Don Hughes and the middle school band is directed by Craig McClenahan.
