River levels are rising due to heavy rains and snow melt. If you come across a flooded road, turn around, don’t drown. Turn your vehicle around and find an alternate route. The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings across eastern Iowa, including the Iowa, English, Cedar, and Skunk Rivers in the KCII-listening area. Flood warnings include the English River at Kalona until Saturday evening, the Iowa River near Lone Tree until Sunday, the Iowa River at Columbus Junction until Monday, the Iowa River at Wapello until further notice, the Iowa River at Oakville until further notice, the Cedar River near Conesville until further notice, and the North Skunk River near Sigourney until Monday morning where major flooding is forecast.
