Washington will host its final legislative briefing of 2019 Saturday. Democratic Senators Kevin Kinney and Rich Taylor, as well as Republican Representatives Jarad Klein and Joe Mitchell have been invited to the event. The quartet of legislators attended the first briefing held in February to give updates on issues like education funding, judicial nomination reform, and emergency medical services in rural Iowa. Each legislator will begin the morning with opening remarks to highlight some of their work during the session, then questions from the public will be taken. The briefing is open to the public, and begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Washington County Courthouse.
