A wanted man was arrested in Mount Pleasant after trying to elude authorities. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday a vehicle pursuit began with a vehicle being driven by Drew Garretson of Batavia. Authorities discovered Garretson had felony warrants out of Burlington and Fairfield. The pursuit concluded with Garretson hitting a set of stop sticks in the 500 block Iris Street in Mount Pleasant. He was arrested and charged with felony eluding and driving under suspension. Agencies assisting in the arrest were the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, New London Police Department, and Mount Pleasant Police Department.
