A new water bottle filling station is on the agenda for the Kalona City Council. The council will discuss applying for a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant for a water fountain that costs $14,100. The city would put the water filling station in the Kalona City Park. This is part of a water fountain project spearheaded by the Washington County Public Health Department to add new water filling stations across the county. The council will also hold a closed session regarding a property acquisition. The meeting will be Monday at the Kalona City Hall at 7 p.m.
