A traffic stop in Washington early Thursday morning led to an arrest. According to the Washington County Communications Office, just after midnight Washington Police arrested 21-year-old Baylee Escher of Washington after a traffic stop near the intersection at Highway 1 and Fifth Street.
Escher was charged with driving while revoked, providing false identification, improper registration plate, operating a non-registered vehicle, and failure to provide insurance. Authorities discovered that Escher has a DNR warrant for probation violations and possession of marijuana. Escher also has two warrants from Johnson County for possession of a controlled substance and third degree burglary.
He was taken to the Washington County jail while extradition arrangements are being made with Johnson County.
