Three members of the Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball team were selected to participate in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Senior All-Star game Saturday at Burlington, Notre Dame High School.
Trevor Leyden, Caleb Gingerich and Jeremy Niemeyer were all chosen to participate. The trio were all named to the second team All-Superconference team for the recently completed season.
Leyden scored 11 points per game and finished eighth in the conference with 32 made three point goals. His 46 steals were third in the league. His 54 assists were 10th in the conference and he also pulled down 63 rebounds.
Gingerich averaged six points per game. He dished out 102 assists, third most in the conference. He also had 44 steals, fourth in the league to go along with 57 rebounds.
Niemeyer put up 11 points per contest on the year. His 129 rebounds were fifth most in the conference. His 21 blocked shots were also fifth.
