A new person or family will join those honored before them as 4-H Hall of Fame recipients. Washington County 4-H is now accepting nominations for this year’s award. Nominees can be volunteers, community leaders, and Extension staff members who have exemplified outstanding service and dedication to the 4-H youth program in their county. Inductees may be recognized posthumously. The Iowa 4-H Foundation sponsors the annual Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame ceremony at the Iowa State Fair. Nominations should be sent to the Washington County Extension Office or to Amy Green. They should include a description of the nominee’s involvement and years of service to the local 4-H program. The deadline is April 1st.
