Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and crutches will all be donated from Washington and put to good use. The Central Park Community Center is donating the variety of medical supplies to Mission: Mobility. Barb Nelson explained that the equipment had been donated over the years to the center but was not being used. The donated items will be taken to Guatemala. Mission: Mobility was founded by Rick Fulton in 2012. Fulton had gone on a mission trip with John and Jean Mitchell from Wayland who own and manage MD Orthopedics. Through their non-profit called On His Path, Mission: Mobility was formed. Since 2012, they have delivered thousands of wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes in 31 shipping containers to Guatemala where it is then dispersed to those who need them.
