Iowans on Medicaid have until June 18 to choose from one of three Managed Care Organizations, or MCOs. Iowa Total Care is joining Amerigroup Iowa and UnitedHealthcare. Washington County Public Health is raising awareness of the change so patients aren’t surprised when and if their coverage changes. Hawki members will have a similar open choice period starting in June. Iowa Medicaid Enterprise members may make their MCO selection by email, mail, or phone.
