Washington County’s corn and soybean yields were higher than the state average in 2018. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s 2018 county estimates, Washington County’s average soybean yield was 62.6 bushels per acre while the state average was 57 bushels per acre. The highest was 67 bushels per acre in Sioux County.
The state’s corn for grain average yield was 196 bushels per acre. In Washington County the corn for grain yield was 214.5 bushels per acre. The highest yield was Marshall County at 226 bushels per acre.
