The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams are back on the course Monday to take on the West Branch Bears in River Valley Conference action.

The Mid-Prairie girls opened the season with a win over Iowa City Regina on Monday 224 to 236. The Hawks were led by meet medalist Abbi Patterson who carded a round of 49. This is the season opener for the Bears who posted a 205 scoring average a season ago.

The Mid-Prairie boys were also a winner on Thursday in their opener against Regina, taking down the Regals by a 167-189 score. Noah Schlabaugh was meet medalist with a 38. This will serve as the season opener for West Branch who shot a 168 team average a year ago. The Golden Hawk boys host the Bears at Kalona while the girls travel to West Branch.
