The 2019 girls’ soccer campaign commences for Washington this evening when the Demons travel to Iowa City Liberty for the season opener.

Head coach Pro Marcelino brings back a young, but experienced bunch from last season’s 1-13 year. Halle Leyden and Abby Voss lead the youth movement after combining for seven goals in 2018. Olivia Pacha returns in the net after compiling 194 saves. The Lightning lost their top two scorers from a 6-12 team a year ago. Briana Ervin, Elise Hermiston, and Megan Davis all recorded a pair of goals and return this spring.

The season gets underway at 6:45 p.m. today at Iowa City Liberty.
