In a loaded field at the West Liberty Girls Invitational on Tuesday night the Lone Tree girls’ track team finished 11thout of 13 teams.

The Lions tallied 23.5 points on the evening while Anamosa ran away with the title securing 115 points. Holley Johnson was a top Lion performer placing fifth in the 100m hurdles in a time of 17.54 seconds and she was also seventh in the long jump with a leap of 14’4’’. Other top finishes included the distance medley relay in fifth (5:06.47), Natalie Patterson sixth in the 3000m run (13:14.37), Kasey Chown sixth in the high jump (4’6’’), and Maddie Jacque seventh in the same event (4’4’’).

The Lions get back on the track tomorrow at West Burlington.
