An aggressive dog was put down by law enforcement in Henry County Wednesday. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, they received reports of a loose dog showing aggressive behavior near Kramer’s Gas Station in Salem. Several witnesses reported the dog’s behavior made them fearful the dog would attack. Law enforcements made several attempts to contact the dog’s owner. They also attempted to catch the dog, but were unsuccessful. Due to the dog’s aggressive nature, authorities terminated the dog. The incident remains under investigation pending verification of rabies vaccination as it did not have a rabies tag.
