Early education of children will be promoted starting Monday with the Week of the Young Child. Each year this week is to promote learning for all young children from birth through eight years old with the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Washington Public Library Director Bryna Walker says the library will be observing the week with pieces of art created by some of our community’s youngest members, “And the show will feature from all area preschools. This will be in our Helen Wilson art gallery upstairs, on the second floor.” The gallery will display the youth artwork from April 8th through the 13th.
