library-week

National Library Week kicks off Monday at the Kalona Public Library. Throughout the week the library will be hosting events and promotions to improve community engagement. Starting Monday the KPL will be accepting food donations for the Kalona Food Bank, which can also be used to reduce library fines. Patrons can also guess how many books are in the KPL to win prizes. National Library Week will conclude Friday with Scrabble Day, which is one of the many things Library Assistant Jennifer Riddle is looking forward to, “I’m a diehard Scrabble fan, so I like the Scrabble idea. I am very interested in seeing how many people can come close to [guessing] how many books we have.” National Library Week festivities kicks off Monday and will last until Friday.
