The Lone Tree Invitational takes place tonight and the Lion track teams welcome area schools of IMS, Highland, Keota, and WACO to town.

Highland and WACO was last in action Thursday at the Demon Relays while Lone Tree competed at West Burlington, IMS was at Williamsburg on Monday, and Keota has been idle. Girl competitors to keep an eye on that found success last week include IMS’ Suzanna Yoder earned three top four finishes at Williamsburg, Highland went one-two in the long jump at Washington with Emily Yahnke and Aly Stokes, and WACO’s Morgan Graber was fourth in the high jump. On the boys’ side Lone Tree’s Alberto Cortez is coming off of a championship in the 3200m, WACO’s Colton Horak was second in the 400m hurdles, and Highland’s 4x200m relay team finished third.

All of the action gets underway at 4:30 p.m. this evening in Lone Tree.
