Saturday night authorities received a call regarding an altercation at a residence in Brighton. 

According to the Washington County Safety Center, just after 10 p.m. a subject with a knife was causing a disturbance at 505 East Madison Street in Brighton. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded and 45-year-old Frederick Lavern Dost was arrested for simple assault.
