A Salem man was arrested after threatening to harm children. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:16 p.m. Friday law enforcement responded to a welfare check at a home on the corner of East Cherry Street and North Monroe Street in Salem. After an investigation, authorities found that 31-year-old Thadeus Wilson of Salem had been making threats to children as well as others. Wilson was arrested for first-degree harassment, child endangerment, and interference with official acts causing injury. He was taken to the Henry County Jail, where he has since posted bond. The Iowa State Patrol and Henry County Health Center Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
