Today is the deadline to submit your federal income taxes. Branch Manager at the Washington H&R Block Teri Bain says the biggest obstacle is just getting going, “Just get started. We have had a lot of people this year come back in and do a 10-year run that they’ve put off for so long. Just start, even if it’s just this year, get your stuff together and just get it started then we can go from there.” Bain adds that if you miss the deadline and owe money to the IRS, you could face a penalty for not filing, then another for missing payment.
