The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys track team will perform in front of the home crowd for the first time tonight when they host a meet at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman.
Mid-Prairie was last in action at the Demon Co-Ed Relays at Case Field nearly two weeks ago. Mid-Prairie was led at Washington by the 4×200 team of Elmir Ganibegovic, Grant Boyse, Clarke Latchem and Aiden Rath with their second place finish and Micah Gugel with a third place finish in the shot put.
Washington will also travel to Wellman tonight. Last action for the Demons was last week in Mount Pleasant where they took second as a team. The Demons had a pair of titles on the night with Ethan Hunt taking the 400 and the sprint medley team of Cade Hennigan, Jacob Miller, Mitchell Driscoll and Hunt winning the championship. Joining the Golden Hawks and Demons tonight in Wellman will be Anamosa, Clear Creek Amana, Eddyville-Blakesburg, Mediapolis, Oskaloosa, West Branch, West Liberty, Williamsburg and Wilton. Action begins at 4:30 and continues into the evening at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman.
