A North Liberty man has been charged with multiple drug violations and providing false identification in Washington County. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was entered into the system this week. A detainer was placed, as 36-year-old Jason Gene York is currently incarcerated at the Oakdale Correctional Facility. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance second offense, possession of a controlled substance marijuana second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and providing false identification information.

The charges stem from an incident on March 9th in Riverside, where local officials assisted the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol in locating a wanted subject on three Johnson County warrants. Those warrants included probation violation, possession of contraband in a correctional institution, and voluntary absence from custody. Bond then was set at $20,000.
