The Mid-Prairie girls track team gets the 110th Drake Relays underway Thursday when Marie Hostetler steps on the Blue Oval for the 3000m run.

Hostetler competed in this event a season ago, taking third in a time of 10:14.90. This year she has the second fastest time in the state at 10:14.76 that she ran at Williamsburg at the beginning of April. The only runner with a faster time is Ashlyn Keeney of Iowa City Liberty who ran a 10:06.24 at the Demon Co-Ed Relays at Case Field earlier this month. Hostetler will be on the track in Des Moines at 5:40 this evening.
