Washington High School students will present a musical comedy on the auditorium stage this weekend. Senior Gwen Flannery shares the plot of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, “So, it’s a Putnam County Spelling Bee that’s happening. This year is the 25th anniversary and it’s for elementary to middle school students. And it’s sort of making fun of the whole spelling bee plot.” When asked who in the cast would win a spelling bee in real life, the students agreed it’d be Gwen or John Flannery.

The show is directed by Vern Miller. It is rated at PG-13. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Catch the musical comedy Friday or Saturday at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
