
A trial for a Washington man charged with felony theft will be held in July. Aaron Jaspering, 34-years-old, is charged with theft in the first degree. According to Iowa Code, theft in the first degree includes theft of property exceeding $10,000 and is a class C felony. Jaspering was arrested January 11th after a search warrant was executed in the 500 block of South 3rd Avenue. The search warrant was linked to a home burglary in the 400 block of South Marion Avenue the week prior. Jaspering’s jury trial had been scheduled for Wednesday, but has been moved back to July 30th.
