Jabil Packaging Solutions in Mount Pleasant has launched a registered apprenticeship program. A registered apprenticeship program is a paid internship that’s designed to teach apprentices specific skills to contribute to their company. Jabil has teamed up with the IowaWORKS Center in Burlington and Iowa Workforce Development. This program takes four years to complete, and features a mixture of on the job training and classroom instruction. By the end of the program, the apprentice will be qualified and trained as a plastics process technician. This initiative is driven to train and keep quality workers in the Hawkeye State.
