The McKain’s River Access Area will be discussed at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. The board will consider an agreement with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for the development, care, and maintenance of the state-owned property. The river access is managed by the Washington County Conservation Board. It has a boat ramp for those who want to go fishing or boating on the Skunk River near Brighton. It is also open to public hunting and primitive camping. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
