Spring cleaning in Washington is this week. Extra garbage will be hauled away on your normal garbage route day. The annual curbside pick up runs from April 29th through May 2nd. Stickers for large items can be purchased at City Hall. Items that need a $6 sticker include couches, desks, mattresses, and dressers. There are $20 stickers needed for appliances. The following items will not be picked up: waste oil, concrete, bricks, hazardous materials, paint, batteries, or tires. All plastic bags must have a city garbage sticker. Materials should be placed in distinct piles and loose items should be in cardboard boxes. There is 100-pound carpet limit.
