Washington County’s unemployment rate stayed the same from February to March. According to Iowa Workforce Development, Washington County’s unemployment rate was 2.8%. The state’s unemployment rate was 2.4% in both February and March. In March, Henry, Iowa, Jefferson, and Johnson counties had unemployment rates below Washington County’s. In March, the highest unemployment rate in Iowa was in Marshall County at 5.8% and the lowest was Story County at 1.5%.
