The weather was able to hold off last night for the Washington track teams to travel to Fairfield for the Brookhart-Crew Relays.
The Demons boys finished fourth out of six teams with 85 points while Mount Pleasant won with 157.5. Spencer Sotelo bested the whole field in the long jump with a leap of 20’7’’ and the 4x400m relay team of Ethan Hunt, Justin Simmering, Luke Turner, and Mitchell Driscoll also took home first place (3:32.88). Other notable finishes included shuttle hurdle relay in second (1:02.36), sprint medley in second (1:36.38), Evan Horak third in the 1600m (4:45.29), 4x100m relay in third (44.68), and Lincoln Kleese third in the long jump (20’1.75’’).
The Demon girls finished fifth with 72 points and the Panthers managed the sweep winning with 191. Jenah Greiner continues to bring in the hardware placing first in the 100m (12.80) and long jump (17’0’’). Also placing first on the evening included Isabel Bailey in the 200m (28.21) and Ashley Telleen in the 400m (1:05.54). Telleen also placed second in the 400m hurdles (1:12.51), Bailey third in the 100m (13.29), and the 4x800m was third (12:01.61).
