The Washington track teams start up the postseason this evening traveling to Fairfield for the Southeast Conference meet.

The Demon girls will compete for conference titles in numerous events, as they have eight races that are top two in the league. Jenah Greiner in the 100m, 200m, and long jump, Ashley Telleen in the 400m hurdles, Kelsey Pacha in the high jump, 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m all have posted the second fastest time in the conference.

On the boys’ side Mitchell Driscoll has the fastest 400m-dash time and Ethan Hunt is at the top of the 400m hurdles. Second place events coming into the day include Lincoln Kleese in the 110m hurdles, 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, sprint medley, distance medley, and shuttle hurdle relay. Head Coach Steve Roth tells KCII Sports great competition awaits tonight. “Mount Pleasant is stacked and have a nice squad but we have plenty of guys that can compete for a conference title too. We are going to let it all go and try to tune-up for the state qualifier next week.”

The co-ed meet gets underway at 5 p.m. this evening in Fairfield.
