Help keep Washington clean by picking up around the square Saturday. The 11th annual downtown cleanup will begin promptly at 8 a.m. At Tuesday’s Washington City Council meeting Mayor Jaron Rosien invited the community to volunteer their time and come help, “The City contributes the disposal of any trash that’s collected. And normally there’s a good turn out of people to work all the way around the square and the back alleys of the square. And normally it’s a full dumpster, if not more.” Meet at the bandstand at 8 a.m. The cleanup will conclude at 10 a.m. this Saturday.
