A Kalona driver struck a bicyclist Monday morning, resulting in an injury. According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 10:35 a.m. Monday a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Shaena Beachy struck a bicyclist while heading north on Oak Crest Hill Road near the Johnson County Fairgrounds. According to the accident report, the driver was unable to move over to the left in time due to oncoming traffic in the opposite lane. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. The name and condition of the bicyclist has not been released. The wreck is still being investigated by the Iowa State Patrol.
