The Duro-Last manufacturing facility in Sigourney earned a high recognition for safety and health management. The facility was named a Star Site from the Occupational Safety & Health Organization’s Voluntary Protection Program. Being named a Star Site is the highest form of recognition given by OSHA’s VPP. In order to become a Star Site, one must maintain injury and illness rates below the national average, in addition to implementing effective health and safety strategies.
