Parking is limited around the Washington County Courthouse while the bell tower roof is replaced. A chain link fence has been put up around the work area. The sidewalk along Main Street is closed for the duration of the project. To enter the courthouse, go to the west side of the building and go under the scaffolding and plywood. Parking spots along the south and west sides of the courthouse are unavailable while the crews work. The tiles will be replaced with Brava roof tiles made to match the existing tiles. The locally made tiles are lighter than traditional slate and are made of recycled material. The work will take two to three weeks to complete.
