There was little doubt as to what team would be crowned Southeast Iowa Super Conference Girls Golf champs on Wednesday, as Columbus Community swept the floor with all competitors winning by 31 strokes.
The Wildcats shot a 404 in the 18-hole conference meet in Fort Madison while second place Mediapolis tallied 435 strokes. Depth was apparent with this team, as all four counting scores cracked the top 10 including Kayla Beenen third with 97, Aubrey Duncan fifth with 100, Gracie Morrison sixth with 103, and Jobie Lekwa eighth with 104.
Highland placed sixth out of 10 teams with 474 strokes. Charlie Aicher shot a 110 to place 17th and Kayla Cerny tallied 113 in 19th. Lauren Hagge led the Wolves with a 109 to finish 16th and WMU placed seventh as a team with 483. Lone Tree finished in ninth with 540 and Tessa Galloway led them with 120.
Each team gears up for the first round of regionals on Monday.
