fire-truck

A brand new fire truck will be housed in Washington’s brand new fire station. The city council approved the purchase of a new tanker truck at their meeting Tuesday. The Heiman tanker truck will cost $254,648. It is approximately 28 feet long and Chief Tom Wide says it will fit in the new station, and will be parked in front of one of the doors, “So in comparison, this one is about five foot longer than our current tanker.” The department received three bids. The cost of the new truck is in the budget and it will take about 400 days to arrive once it is ordered.
