The Mid-Prairie boys golf team opens the postseason Friday with a trip to Stone Creek Golf Course in Williamsburg.The Golden Hawks are coming off of a conference runner-up finish at Tuesday’s River Valley Conference Championship meet at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside. The Hawks shot 342 and put three on the all-conference squads led by Noah Schlabaugh as medalist runner-up with a round of 77. On the year, Mid-Prairie’s 18 hole average is 347, third in the sectional behind Williamsburg’s 331 and Prairie City Monroe’s 339. Schlabaugh is the top seeded individual entering play today with a 79 average per 18 holes, best in the field. Mid-Prairie will be joined at Williamsburg by Albia, Davis County, Eddyville-Blakesburg, Prairie City Monroe, Pella Christian, Pleasantville and Williamsburg. The meet begins at 10a.m. and continues all day in Williamsburg.
