It was a game Mid-Prairie controlled, but things got tight on the Golden Hawk girls late in a 6-4 win over Mediapolis Tuesday in Wellman.
The Golden Hawks built leads of 4-1 and 5-2 in the second half before MEPO made late pushes to get within one goal. Julia Boller put the game on ice by completing her hat trick in the last five minutes to secure the win. Boller had a pair of assists along with her three goals. Libby Baker, Esther Hughes and Kaitlin Martin each scored once. Mid-Prairie has now won six matches in a row and have an 8-3 overall record. They travel to Northeast Goose Lake on Friday.
