Samantha Mellinger represented the Washington archery team over the weekend in Louisville, Kentucky for the 2019 National Archery in the Schools Program Eastern National Tournament.
The junior shot a 281 in the bullseye competition that put her in the 96th percentile out of all of the girls competing. She was 469th out of 7,109 participants overall including placing 87th out of 589 11th grade girls. In the IBO 3D Challenge Mellinger shot a 279 that put her in 135th out of 2,496 overall. That score was also the 27th best out of 216 11th grade girls.
