A trip to Pella Christian Monday to open the playoffs was a business trip for the Iowa Mennonite School boys soccer team.
The No. 15 ranked team in the state dispatched Grand View Christian by a 5-0 score. IMS got the scoring started in the 13th minute when Toby Chen knocked in a rebound. They would score twice more in the first half on a pair of goals by Louis Etienne on assists from Chen and Jacob Boller, leaving the score 3-0 at the break. In the second half, IMS added two more insurance goals with Etienne finishing his hat trick and Boller adding one of his own. With the win, IMS is now 10-4 on the year as they get ready to take on Clarke of Osceola who beat No. 13 Chariton 3-2 in double overtime. That game will be played Wednesday night at Solon.
