The soccer season came to a close for the Columbus Community boys’ on Monday night falling to West Liberty 2-0 in a class 1A first round sub-state game.

The Wildcats saw an improvement defensively on Monday against the Comets after an 8-0 loss to them last week, but couldn’t muster up any offense in the defeat. Columbus closes the year 5-9 and they lose five players to graduation including Candy Nunez, Chance Colby, Jose Cerezo, Lane Scorpil, and Alex Rivas.
